TO “DREAM IN THE DAY” is to be stirred and motivated by a passion and a positive future picture that will motivate you and your team. It does not mean “pie in the sky”; it does mean that your intended future is compelling and worth sacrificing for. It consumes your thinking.
A vision is a statement about what God wants to do in and through you. It can be personal or for an organization. God’s vision should resonate with all members of the organization and help them feel proud, excited, and part of something much bigger than themselves.
Vision comes from God and God alone. Leaders cast vision that has been received from the Lord. A vision should stretch your capabilities and your image of yourself. It gives shape and direction to the future. Visions range in length from a couple of words to several pages. Shorter vision statements are helpful because people will tend to remember their shorter organizational vision. What is God’s vision for your life? He wants to give His vision to you. He doesn’t plan to baptize yours.
