Flourishing in Troubling Times Seminar

During the last two days Compass ministry launched a three year Stewardship and Generosity Campaign for the nation of India. The Compass team (Richard Samuel, Johnson Samuel, and myself) equipped over 35 trainers to take the message of becoming financially free in order to serve the 1.2 billion people of India. Most of these trainers have been volunteering with Compass over the last four years and some for 12 years.
People in India across all economic classes are having increasingly more disposal income and access to consumer credit than ever before. We are asking God to unleash a movement of generous living and giving in India. Such a movement can become a reality if we start living out the Biblical message of stewardship, generous living and Kingdom focused giving through every aspect of our India society.
The core of the project is to conduct 100 training workshops each year for three years throughout India with a goal of 60,000 impacted directly. The workshop will initially disturb and also begin the training process, but it will be the 6-12 week small groups where people develop life changing stewardship habits.
The ultimate goal is the free people up financially in order to take the gospel to the nation. The time is short and the window of opportunity is now. “We don’t choose the times in which we live, whether good or bad, we do choose how we spend the time given us, whether short or long.”
