Hoffmantown Church Leaders

Reaching Albuquerque, New Mexico

By Bruce Witt

Churches so often talk about making disciples and reaching their community and yet in reality it boils down to another class or Sunday bible study where people are filled with more of the bible and few if any people are reproducing their life in Christ.

I have been working with Hoffmantown Church over the last seven years and have seen an amazing work and power of Christ. People are coming to Christ, their community is being impacted and lives are being changed. This week I had the privilege of leading a pastors retreat and interacting with them about their future plans. The Lord showed up and is guiding them to take some radical steps in terms of discipleship and making disciples.

This church, located in Albuquerque, NM, is in the center of some of the strongest spiritual warfare / new age / spiritism on the Indian reservations that one can imagine. Yet the leadership has fully embraced Christ leading in and through them and they are seeking to take on this challenge and focus on discipleship and making disciples.

This is a bold and courageous step. Please pray for the leadership as well as the planning process to implement this strategic action. Much has to be done to equip and engage a core team. The Lord has given me 30 years of experience in discipling to help guide and encourage this church in an area where few have been truly effective.

Matthew 28:19,20, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name if the Father , the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded, and lo I am with you until the end of the age.”
