Launching Kingdom Movements Leadership Training

Central Baptist Association of New Mexico

In April, we trained about 25 pastors from the Central Baptist Association of New Mexico. The Central Baptist Association is a network of Southern Baptist Churches in Central New Mexico. The geographical area of the Association encompasses about 43% of the states' population centered around the Albuquerque metropolitan area including Bernalillo, Rio Rancho, Bosque Farms, Los Lunas, Belen, Cuba, Jemez Pueblo, Mountainair, Edgewood, Sandia Park, Tijeras, Cedar Crest, Moriarty, Estancia and Vaughn. We have recently added churches from Santa Fe and Gallup.

The seventy plus churches of the Association reflect the diversity expected from metropolitan, suburban and rural areas. These churches range in attendance from 10 to over 2,000. Nineteen of these are ethnic/language congregations that worship in at least 6 different languages.

This transformational, innovative conference inspired and connected these pastors to a cause much bigger than their church. It was serving and equipping at a new level. We focused on partnerships, encouragement, sharpening one’s skills for ministry, and providing practical tools for engaging others.

We taught on two key topics:

  1. Developing and Mentoring Leaders – “Everything rises and falls on Leadership.” The seven principles that can radically change perspective and execution of leadership.
  1. Empowering and Sending Teams – We gave them a proven process to build and send teams who are uniquely focused on God’s Kingdom and reaching people with the life-changing gospel. The goal is to mobilize others to go into a world in need of the gospel.
